and solar energy use
Solar control glass
Solar control glass is one of the basic materials of modern sustainable architecture. By using appropriate coated or tinted glass, solar control glazing allows to shape the desired appearance as well as the properties of light and solar energy transmission into the building.
Types of solar
solar control glass
Based on the appearance of the glass and its effect on reducing solar radiation, solar control glass can be divided into selective, absorptive and reflexive.
PRESS GLASS offers the following types of solar control glass in its market range:

Selective
Float glass, flat and transparent, neutral or tinted into blue, brown, gray and green in the glass structure, and coated with metal oxides in order to achieve a proper reflective effect, control the insolation of rooms and reduce the penetration of solar energy into them, as well as provide high thermal protection. It may be used only in insulated glass units.
Absorptive
Float glass, flat and transparent, tinted into blue, brown, gray or green in the glass mass, usedto reduce the transmittance of solar energy. This glass can be used as monolithic or insulated glass.
Reflexive
Float glass, flat and transparent, tinted into blue, brown, gray and green or nautral in the glass mass, coated with metal oxide in order to achieve a proper reflective effect, control the insolation of rooms and reduce the penetration of solar energy into them. This glass can be used as a monolithic or in the insulated glass unit - depending on the type of coating.
